The CompTIA A+ certification validates the skills required for entry-level computer support positions; the starting point for many successful careers with computers. Candidates should have the knowledge and skill to install, operate and troubleshoot computer software and hardware. Prerequisites

Students wishing to be successful with the CompTIA A+ certification training program should possess:

• One year of computer-using experience.
• The knowledge and ability to install, operate, and troubleshoot main types of software and hardware.
• An introductory understanding of the main parts inside a computer.
• A basic understanding of the main types of computer cases, and how to open them.
• An introductory understanding of the various types of cables attached to a computer, how to unplug them quickly, and re-attach them.
• Previous classroom experience with some type of computer field is good, recommended, but not necessary.
