Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA)

Tuition: $1,995.00

Course Description

Course Length: 40 Hours of Instructor-led, classroom training.

The CCDA certification (Cisco Certified Design Associate) shows a foundational or apprentice-level knowledge of network design for the Cisco-based network. CCDA certified professionals competently design routed and switched networks and services involving LAN, WAN, and broadband access for businesses and other organizations.

Prerequisites

To be successful in the CCDA Certification Training program, students should possess the knowledge and ability for:

  • Network plan and design
  • Implementation and operation of said network
  • Troubleshooting
  • Conducting operation of Spanning Tree protocols
  • Implementing inter-VLAN routing
  • Implementing gateway redundancy
  • Describing and configuring wireless clients
  • Describing and configuring security in a switched network
  • Configuring support for [digital] voice

CESD, Inc., is an intense training environment. You must have an attitude aimed for success. The above prerequisites are guidelines, but many students with less experience have other background or traits that have enabled their success in accelerated training through CESD, Inc.

Course Outline

  • Describing network design principles
  • Presenting guidelines for building a network design solution
  • How the Enterprise Composite Network model simplifies network complexity
  • Designing the Enterprise Campus in a hierarchical and modular fashion
  • Designing the Enterprise WAN network
  • Designing a network addressing plan
  • Selecting optimal routing protocols for the network
  • Evaluating security solutions for the network
  • Designing voice over IP
  • Selecting the appropriate Network Management solution

Certification Exam: 640-863

Cost: $150.00

Passing Score: Subject to Change

Number of Questions: 65

Exam Duration: 90 minutes

Exam Description:

This exam gives a foundational (apprentice) knowledge of network design for the Cisco type of networks based on SONA (Cisco's Service-Oriented Network Architecture). CCDA certified professionals can design routed and switched network infrastructures and services involving LAN, WAN, and broadband access for businesses and organizations.
