The MOS certification is the only credential of it's kind provided by Microsoft. The certification exams are performance-based tests that confirm a computer user's mastery of the Microsoft Office programs that include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Project. Each question is authored by professional item writers and based upon "objectives or tasks" that correspond to real world tasks. Exams are 45 minutes long and cover either core level (basic) features or expert level (advanced) features.
